Dr. Jeffery A. Bertke
Crystallographer & X-ray Facility Manager
Dr. Bertke obtained his B.S. in Chemistry in 2007 from Kent State University in Kent Ohio. He was first introduced to single crystal X-ray diffraction while doing undergrad research in the lab of Prof. Scott Bunge. He then went on to obtain his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry in 2012 working in the lab of Prof. Kenneth Henderson at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend Indiana. After finishing his Ph.D., Dr. Bertke accepted a position as the assistant crystallographer at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013. In 2016, Dr. Bertke joined the staff at Georgetown University as the Crystallographer and X-ray Facility Manager.
