University Information Services (UIS) is the central information technology department at Georgetown. UIS is committed to supporting Georgetown’s academic and research mission. UIS provides technology support for many services such as Georgetown Google Apps, which includes Gmail, Calendar, and Google Docs. UIS also manages the Georgetown wireless network and provide support for the academic enterprise by providing academic technology tools and services in support of teaching and learning.

Help Desk – Find answers to common problems, start a chat with an advisor or submit a ticket.

UIS Service Desks – The UIS Service Desks offer walk-up technology assistance if you’re on campus. The Service Desks are located in the Leavey bookstore (by the GOCard Office) and on the 3rd floor of Lauinger Library.

Canvas – Georgetown University’s online course management system.

SaxaNet Secure Wireless Network – Instructions on how to connect to SaxaNet from any device.

GU Software Webstore – Many programs are available free or at reduced cost to GU students and employees. ChemDraw Professional, Matlab, Mathmatica, and Microsoft Office are a few examples that could be useful for people in the Department of Chemistry.
