On October 11, Dr. Rodrigo Maillard was recognized at the Georgetown College Convocation for his excellence in teaching and mentoring. He was awarded the inaugural Farr Faculty Excellence Award. Prof. Rodrigo Maillard is recognized for the thoughtful approach he brings to teaching Biochemistry, the high quality mentorship he provides research students, and his commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.  An astute teacher and mentor who fully embodies Cura Personalis, Prof Maillard is an inspiring model for how inclusive and challenging research projects can be used to help students realize their personal and scientific potential.  Using biochemical, biophysical and single-molecule optical tweezer methods, his group studies the signaling pathways of biological macromolecules. Congratulations Prof. Maillard on a well deserved honor.
