Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship awarded to Nicholas Lutz

The ICDD Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship Committee has selected seven recipients for the 2026 Scholarship Program. These recipients were selected competitively from 32 applications received by the ICDD Scholarship Committee.

Congratulations to Nicholas Lutz, a graduate student in Dr. Holman’s lab, for his work on ‘Engineering Pore Space in Pop-open Ultra-microporous Crystalline Materials’.

The ICDD will present each student with a check for $2,500 and include a one-year subscription to the PDF-5+ 2026 database to assist in continuing studies in their selected fields of crystallographic research.
