Georgetown Alumni Career Panel

Prof. Rodrigo Maillard and GSOC organized an incredibly successful chemistry alumni career panel for the graduate and undergraduate students in the department. The program consisted of an hour-long Q & A session with 4 panelists followed by round table discussions and a happy hour at Epi. Students were able to get a sense of different career paths and advice on resumes, interviewing and skill sets to improve to stand out in the hiring process. The 4 alumni panelists included: 

• Dr. Gerry Brown, Class 2003 (Dr. Weiss), Research Fellow DuPont/Chemours
• Dr. Jenny England Class 2018 (Dr. Maillard), R&D Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific 
• Dr. Zhongyu Mou Class 2017 (Dr. Kertesz), Fellow, Food and Drug Administration 
• Dr. Nicole Vanagas Class 2020 (Dr. Knope), Senior Scientist, Exponent
