The Academic Resource Center provides students with academic strategies and individualized support needed for academic success and inclusion within the Georgetown community. The center offers disability support (Accommodations for students with disabilities that facilitate equity and access to services, programs, and facilities) and academic support (Assistance in study skills necessary for academic achievement through individual consultations, academic themed workshops, and foreign language tutoring services). Any member of the GU community can make a report about a possible bias related incident using the Bias Reporting System. The Bias Reporting Team includes trained professionals from the Center for Multicultural Equity & Access (CMEA), LGBTQ Resource Center, Women’s Center, Office of Residential Living, Office of Mission & Ministry, and the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, & Affirmative Action (IDEAA). The Center for Multicultural Equity & Access (CMEA) supports students of color at Georgetown University in a variety of ways. For example, they can provide someone to talk to about personal issues or concerns, advice on courses, majors, careers or navigating the university administration, chances to explore diversity issues or friendly faces and a place to call home. The office of CAPS is a member of the Division of Student Affairs. The central mission of CAPS is to collaborate directly with students and the campus community. CAPS is dedicated to helping students develop greater self-understanding, identify and solve problems, and improve academic performance through the alleviation of psychological, emotional, and cognitive barriers. HES offers consultation, networking, and advocacy for primary prevention, risk reduction, and health promotion. They provide confidential crisis response, referrals, and advocacy for concerns related to Sexual Assault, Relationship Violence & Stalking, Alcohol & Other Drugs, Sexual Health & Pregnancy, Eating Disturbances & Body Image, and Nutrition. Students do not need a referral to seek services at HES, and all clinical services are completely free and confidential. In addition, HES focuses on interactive health promotion through health communication campaigns, training, and campus programming. Each international student and each international scholar is a valued and respected member of our community. The office of International Student & Scholar Services serves and supports the safety and well-being of all members of this community. This office can help with immigration advising, F-1 and J-1 regulations, Advisor Signatures, and Off Campus Authorizations. The Office of the Student Ombuds serves as a confidential, informal, and impartial resource for undergraduate and graduate students who may have a University-related concern or problem. Other members of the Georgetown community, including faculty and staff, are also welcome to contact the Office with any student-related questions or concerns. The Student Ombuds assists visitors in identifying options that might bring resolution to a problem, suggests appropriate referrals, or may offer to mediate in a dispute. Resources for students, faculty, and staff on issues relating to sexual misconduct including sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking can be found at https://sexualassault.georgetown.edu/. Georgetown has resources in place to support members of the University community who have experienced or wish to report sexual misconduct. If you need to speak to someone about sexual misconduct, confidential counseling services are available on and near campus.

The Georgetown University Women’s Center is part of the Office of Student Equity and Inclusion in Student Affairs. They host and sponsor a variety of programs and events throughout the year, including the Biondi Copeland Lecture Series, Feminist Roundtables, and Women’s History Month.
